An electrician must be able to assemble, install, repair or work on entire systems; whether it be in a residential home, a school, an electrical generation facility, street lights, traffic lights, alarms, computers, telephone systems and all other facets of the industry. He/She must be able to navigate about in a dynamic industry that could require him/her to learn specialized skills and obtain additional certifications.
